An air purifier is a device which removes contaminants from the air. These devices are commonly marketed as being beneficial to allergy sufferers and asthmatics, and at reducing or eliminating second-hand tobacco smoke. Air purifiers also reduce the need for frequent room and area cleaning of dust.
There are different kinds of air purifiers.
A car air purifier is a very simple purifier; it simply filters out the dust and dirt, and pollutants that get into the car, thus creating cleaner air. However, it’s tiny and really only suitable for inside a vehicle. It normally uses a negatively charged ion particle to trap dust and dirt and make it cling to the purifier instead of floating freely. It is also called ion air purifier, car ionizer, ionizer purifier.
Ozone air purifiers uses ozone to ‘shock treat’ a room or an entire building and get rid of pollutants and foul odors that way. Ozone air purifiers are generally used by companies and home to clean the air in a building before people come in as ozone is harmful to your health.
Hepa air purifiers are some of the best on the market; remove at least 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 micrometers (µm) in diameter. The filters maximum resistance to airflow, or pressure drop, is usually specified around 300 Pa at its nominal flow rate.They filter and clean the air you breath and are suitable for any environment. HEPA filters do not generate ozone or harmful byproducts. It uses a fibrous filter to trap dust and dirt and thus clean the air. However, they do require maintenance; the filter has to be replaced.
